Making A Fairy Princess Skirt

We've all secretly dreamed of being a princess at one point in our lives, so when Nickelodeon got in touch to let me know about their new show - The Other Kingdom - I was of course interested to find out more!
I was sent a box full of all the necessary equipment to transform myself, and as my royal household seemed to have the day off, I got my needle and thread out and set about making something fit for a princess...

As The Other Kingdom is about Fairy Princess Astral's decision about staying a fairy princess or becoming human, I wanted the skirt to work with both worlds. I used this pattern, added the iridescent fabric over the top and the ribbon around the waist so it could be tied in a bow around the back.

The Other Kingdom will premiere on Nickelodeon on Monday the 8th of August at 6:30pm

Thanks for reading :)*
