Holiday Makeup Bag | Skincare and Hair

Taking your favourite skincare products on holiday is something that we all want to do but just isn't a good idea. We all like to feel reassured by having our everyday items but we can't fill up half our suitcases with bottles and jars and so I've chosen my favourite miniature skincare products which I always take with me on trips. I've honed them down to the minimum amount possible but have covered all the bases I need (apart from SPF but I carry a full sized bottle of that!) so read on to check out what they are...

Shampoo and Conditioner - John Masters Organic Duo
These are the perfect size for travelling, although if I'm only going away for one or two days then I tend to take sachets as they are smaller and you can throw them away before you travel back. The thing I like best about this conditioner is that it's a detangler so it's great for beach holidays where your hair can be knotted or damaged by the sea.

Makeup Remover - Simple Face Wipes
I don't like using face wipes normally but when you are on holiday quick and easy is key! These are so handy to have in your bag on the plane and they even remove waterproof mascara without any problem.

Skin Treatment - Ren Flash 1 Minute Facial
Sometimes when your skin is exposed to different sun levels or weather then it can react badly. I love the flash rinse facial as it calms the skin and gives you the feeling of just having had a facial but in one minute rather than one hour!

Toner - L'Occitane Essential Water
This is great for cooling the skin if you have been overly exposed to heat. I really love the smell and feel of this too, it's relaxing and fresh. I normally use the Pixi Glow Tonic at home but the bottle would be too big to take on holiday but this L'Occitane toner is a perfect replacement.

Moisturiser - Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream
I love using this cream as an extra boost twice a week. This is a great miniature size which would comfortably fit in your travel makeup bag for all points of your holiday. The cream is quite thick which isn't something I would normally go for but it absorbs really well and smells like sweets!

Thanks for reading :)

  1. I always take face wipes on holiday even though I don't use them normally - it's so much easier and less hassle! The shampoo and conditioner duo look really nice! I usually decant my normal ones into smaller bottles

  18. simple wipes are always a must...and a nice hand cream is always imporant (there are also those 2 in 1, hands and face creams and those are very practical). In addition, good tonic is a good thing to have in our holiday make up bag. Usually I carry a skin protector with me in my make up bag. I don't wear make up when on vacation so it is all about skin care products for me.
